Wattpad App – Online vs Offline Use?

I’m exploring new ways to read user-created stories, and Wattpad keeps popping up as a popular choice. I noticed you can Play Wattpad app directly without installing, but I’m wondering if that’s as smooth as when you Download Wattpad app to a device.

For those who already decided to Get Wattpad app, how do you like the offline reading mode? Does it save your place in long stories? I’m also curious if there are major differences between Android, iOS, and desktop versions.
