Hi everyone,

I’m currently working on an offshore rig, and our shift structure is very different from a standard office job. We are essentially on call for the entire time we are on the platform, which can be weeks at a stretch.

Calculating our base pay versus our "available" hours is a complex process that often leads to heated debates in the mess hall. We want to make sure the company is being fair with our compensation for being in such a remote location.
